The case isn’t as black as we would like, however the LG H20 series’ features and adjustability stand out among the entry-level crowd. Up to 1080P this is a quality TV with a good assortment of feature for it’s class

This isn’t the flagship for Visio as they seem to imply, it is a good picture quality for a low price. Vizio has always been a leader in quality products.

Although it costs a tad more than bargain-basement models, the Sony KDL-L5000 series makes up for it with above-basement design and picture quality. Up to 1080P

Not very stylish and doesn’t have reference templates for color however the Toshiba AV502U can do black levels better than most inexpensive LCDs. Check out the quality for yourself at a local retailer before you  buy.
